Abstract (EN)

This study analyzes outstanding works of Miyazaki, resting on references to cultural and thematic indications. While all these formations are investigated, his life and his early period creations, which are thought to be connected with the director's works, are touched upon. Hence, from time to time; historical, political, and religious formations that give direction to his life are given place in the study. Along with that, by integrating conventional animation methods and technological methods that the director prefers to use instead of their artificial stance, it is focused on creative re-definition of these methods and their visual codes. Within this framework, thematic-based analysis of eye- opening works of the director as well as technical-based analysis of mediums, methods, and key points that are specially designed for certain creations is presented.
