Özet (EN)

Despite a decrease in energy reserves in the world energy crisis, and the number of vehicles is increasing rapidly day by day. World energy consumption in Turkey as in most of the vehicles and the fuels used to create the energy needs of approximately 70% is met from abroad. For these reasons, the development of oil as an alternative fuel types are needed. Esterification of vegetable and animal fats in the alternative fuel called biodiesel fuels, the method has gained importance recently. Biodiesel is a renewable source of energy. In this study, biodiesel fuel produced from animal fats used as food. 100% biodiesel and 20%, 50% biodiesel mixed with diesel fuel, were measured with different speed ranges, and full-load engine dynamometer. This fuels the emission of exhaust emission devices were measured. The experimental results were compared with diesel fuel on engine performance and emissions. As a result of the experiments, different mixture ratios in terms of engine performance characteristics of the engine torque and a reduction in the value of the effective power, specific fuel consumption, an increase was observed. NOx emissions reduction in CO emissions increase at different mixing ratios were determined.
