Özet (EN)
In Turkey, Daily peak power demand is increasing rapidly as a result of developing country. To meet this power demand pumped (power plant dam) hydroelectric power plants (HPP) is emerging as a potantial solution.Pump chamber HPP Works as a pump during low power demand times to store water to upper reservoir and use it as a turbine during high power demand times. These plants Works as a turbine generator when the power demand is high. In this study, the production of hydroelectric power in the world and in Turkey and being a possible efficient productive part of solutions to meet increasing electricity demand via the pumped hydroelectric power plants (HPP) are examined. In addition, possible installation and operating conditions of these plants on the lakes of Turkey are being analysed. In this context, the application of Elazığ Sivrice addressed in the district where the Caspian lake pump chamber HPP 600 MW power analysis and calculations are performed for the establishment of the proposed Project. The data used in this study has been taken from the Electrical Power Resources Survey and Development Administration (EIE), the State Hydraulic Works (DSI), Meteorological Service (DMI) and other relevant organizations.
