Abstract (EN)

Assessment of Overall Wellbeing Due to Disease in HBsAg Positive Patients Hepatitis B virus infection is an important health problem for our country. Our country is located in the medium endemic region in terms of hepatitis B virus infections. It was aimed to determine the psychological morbidity early, to take the necessary precautions, to increase the patient's compliance with the treatment and to examine the factors affecting it in the HBsAg-positive patients by evaluating the general health questionnaire (GHQ-12) and the perceived health questionnaire. 100 patients with chronic hepatitis B infection and carriers with HBsAg positive were included in the Study in Infectious Diseases Policlinic. In the cases, the GHQ-12 and the Perceived Health Questionnaire were applied. In addition, sociodemographic information, follow-up and treatment information of the patients were determined. 54% of patients in the study were male and 33% of asymptomatic carriers. 64% of the patients were found to feel worse according to GHQ-12. It was found that women felt themselves worse than men in both GHQ-12 (p: 0.001) and the Perceived Health Questionnaire (p: 0.004). As the level of education increased, the likelihood of mental disorder decreased (p: 0,032) and the Perceived Health Questionnaire was worse (p: 0.004). The lower the HBV DNA level with GHQ- 12, the lower the probability of psychiatric disorder (p: 0.046), and the lower the HBV DNA level, the better the Perceived Health Questionnaire was significantly better (p: 0.012). In HBsAg-positive patients, it is necessary to work in coordination with psychiatry for early diagnosis of non-psychiatric psychological and psychiatric diseases. In this group of patients, GHQ-12 and the Perceived Health Questionnaire can be used for early diagnosis. Key words: Hepatitis B virus infection, General Health Questionnaire-12, Perceived Health Questionnaire
