Abstract (EN)
In this study, as an alternative to current quantitative methods for the analysis of Hedera helix L. (Ivy) crude drug containing hederasaponin C, alpha hederin and hederagenin, a new, rapid and more reliable U-HPLC method has been developed and validated. The developed method employed C18 column (100 x 4 mm ID, 3 µm), acetonitrile:water mobile phase and 1,25 ml/min flow rate. Additionally, this study was performed using a new detector technology, namely Charged Aerosol Detector (CAD). There is no report in the literature fort the analysis of Hedera helix L. saponins by CAD. In the scope of this thesis, a new, economical and environmentally friendly U-HPLC-CAD method has been introduced not only to the literature but also to the pharmaceutical industry. Keywords: Hedera helix L., U-HPLC, validation, Charged Aerosol Detector (CAD), hederasaponin C.
