Özet (EN)

This study is a descriptive research with the objective to assess the psychological hardiness and burnout levels of physicians. Research population consists of 122 physicians who worked in Tire town in İzmir from 18.06.2018 to 29.06.2018 and the research sample consists of 51 physicians (%41,80) who accepted to participate after being informed by the researcher. The research data is collected by Personal Information Forms, Psychological Hardiness Scale and Burnout Measure. Percentage distribution and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) is used for the statistical analysis of data. According to the findings of the research %56,9 of the physicians who participated was aged 46 and older, %72,5 was male, %84,3 was married and %75,5 was active in profession for 16 years and above. In accordance with the results of analysis it is concluded that the psychological hardiness levels of physicians expressively affected by the marital status, working hours and secondary occupation related to their profession. As for the scores on burnout, it is concluded that not any of the groups significantly differ from each other. Negative correlation is founded between psychological hardiness and burnout. Suggestions have been made in accordance with the findings of the research.
