Özet (EN)

Introduction: Dyslipidemia is an important risk factor among adult population as well as among patients with end stage renal disease. We aimed to evaluate the lipids and lipoproteinemias as a cardiovascular risk faktors in patients on hemodialysis and continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis.Material and Method: 168 patients(89 CAPD, 79 HD) who were non-diabetic and on dialysis therapy at least three months, were enrolled into the study. Demographics of the patients were taken from registry. Body Mass Indexes of the patients were established. Blood pressures of the patients were measured. After 12 hour fasting period and before the dialysis session, hemoglobin, white blood cell and platelets, and in serum urea, creatinin, uric ascid, glucose, Na, K, Ca, P and albumin,TC, TG, LDL-C, HDL-C, apo A, apo B and Lp(a) were measured. Results: 89 patients in CAPD group (51 M, 38 F) and 79 patients in HD group (47M,32F) were taken to the study. Mean age of the patient in CAPD group was 40,91±13,53 years, and 45,02±14,40 years (p = 0,058) in HD group.TG (p=0,023) and VLDL (p=0,027) were lower in CAPD group than HD group, HDL-C(p<0,001) and apoA (p=0,001) were higher in CAPD group, than in HD group. Patients who have normal serum levels of TG, LDL-C and HDL-C were 24 (%27,3) in CAPD group, and 9 (%11,4) in HD group p < 0,001. Patients who have high serum Apo A levels were much more in CAPD group than in HD group (p<0,001). There was a positive correlation between TC, TG, LDL-C with glucose and Apo B, and negative correlation with HDL-C.Conclusion: Patients who treated with CAPD have better serum TG, HDL-C and Apo A levels than patients on HD therapy. There was a positive correlation between glucose and Apo B with TC, TG and LDL-C, and negative correlation with HDL-C.Key Words: Hemodialysis, Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis, Dislipidemia, Cardiovascular Risk Factor.
