Özet (EN)
Material and Methods: The study included 227 volunteer nurses aged 20-60 years who were working at Dokuz Eylül University Medical Faculty Hospital. After the demographic data of the nurses were obtained, the American Rheumatology College (ACR) 1990 and 2013 diagnostic criteria were applied to each nurse for the diagnosis of fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS). Sensitive point examination was performed with the help of an algometer. FIRST (Fibromyalgia rapid screening tool) was performed to nurses with chronic pain for more than three months. The Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) was applied to investigate the sleep quality of each nurse. Results: According to the criteria of 1990, 35 of the 227 nurses (26.9%) were diagnosed as FMS according to the criteria of 2013 (15.4%). Of the 125 nurses with chronic pain for more than three months, 57 (45.6%) were diagnosed with FMS according to FIRST.The ratio of nurses who were diagnosed according to FIRST was 25.1%. 24 nurses were diagnosed with all three criteria(%10.6). The PSQI scores of the nurses who were diagnosed with FMS were significantly higher than the non-diagnosed group (p <0.001). When the consistency between the criteria was examined, the mid-level consistency between the 1990 and 2013 criteria was found (p <0.001) (к: 0.560). A moderate level of consistency was found between FIRST and 2013 criteria (к: 0.415) (p = 0.001). No consistency was found between the 1990 criteria and FIRST (p = 0,761) (k: 0,310). Conclusions: As a result of this study, FMS was found higher in nurses compared to normal population. Nurses who are diagnosed with FMS have poor sleep quality compared to those who are not diagnosed. The high prevalence of fibromyalgia syndrome may be related to sleep disorders caused by the working conditions of nurses. Keywords: Fibromyalgia, Nurse, Sleep disorder, Night shifts
