Abstract (EN)
Title: Evaluation of the mediating role of person-organisation fit in the effect of communication and medical information sharing on teamwork in nurses. Objective: This study was conducted to determine the mediating role of person-organisation fit in the effect of communication and medical information sharing on teamwork in nurses working in a public hospital. Method: The research was designed in cross-sectional type. The research sample consisted of 562 nurses selected by simple random method among the nurses working in a public hospital in Eskişehir. Ethics committee approval and institutional permission were obtained from the Provincial Health Directorate to which the hospital where the research was conducted before the data collection phase. The data were collected with "Personal Information Form", "Communication and Medical Information Sharing Scale", "Teamwork Scale", "Person-Organisation Fit Scale" and analysed using appropriate statistical software. Results: According to the research findings, when the effect of nurses' communication and medical information sharing on teamwork (β=0.272, p<0.05), person-organisation fit on teamwork (β=0.136, p<0.05) and communication and medical information sharing on person-organisation fit (β=0.272, p<0.05) is examined, it is seen that there is a statistically significant and positive effect. In addition, when the mediating effect of person-organisation fit (mediating variable) on teamwork (dependent variable) of communication and medical information sharing (independent variable) is examined, it is seen that there is a statistically significant and positive relationship (β=0.212, p<0.05). Conclusion: As a result of the analyses, person-organisation fit has a partial mediating role in the effect of communication and medical information sharing on teamwork in nurses.
