Determining the relationship between organizational identification and intention to leave in nurses

Abstract (EN)
Aim: This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between the organizational identification levels of nurses and their intention to leave. Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive and cross sectional study. The sample of the study consisted of nurses who volunteered to participate in the study at Turgutlu State Hospital between December 2018-January 2019 (n = 192). The data was collected through a questionnaire consisting of information form, organizational identification scale and intention to leave the scale. SPSS statistic software 22 was used for data analyses . Results: The respondents is 52.6% are 33 years old and above, 85.9% are women, 67.7% are married and 57.3% are graduates. As a result of the Spearman correlation analysis, a negative, very weak and significant relationship was found between organizational identification and intention to leave. A significant difference was found between the age of the nurses, the position in the institution, the year of work in the profession and the level of loving the profession and organizational identification. A significant difference was found between the intention to leave and the level of marital status and profession. Conclusion: The level of organizational identification of nurses was high and the intention to leave was low. Managers are recommended to make arrangements to enable nurses to identify with the institution. Key Words: Organizational identification, intention to leave, nursing.
