Abstract (EN)

The research was conducted on 15-30 May in order to investigate the predictors of innovative behavior in nurses. The sample of the study consisted of 373 nurses working in Hacettepe University Hospital and 208 nurses consisting of clinical, intensive care and responsible nurses who agreed to participate in the study between these dates. Data were collected by using face to face interview method by the researcher. Questionnaire (sociodemographic characteristics, year of study,education level, etc.), Individual Innovation Scale, Clinical Leadership Scale and Creative Personality Traits Scale were used in the data tolerance. Percentage, mean, standard deviation, frequency, perason correlation and regression analysis were used to evaluate the data. The majority of the nurses (%89.4) were female, the average age (%30.3) was in the 26-30 age range, the majority of them were married (%56.7) and graduate from university (%89.9). The income level of 4000 and above (%68.8) and having a child (%50.8) were observed. The majority of the nurses were service nurses (%62.0), had 0-5 years working time (%41.3) at the current institution, professional working time was between 1-10 years (%75.5). While there was a significant relationship between the open-mindedness, resistance to change and risk taking sub-dimensions of the individual innovation scale in nurses and the creative personality traits scale, one of the sub-dimensions of the clinical leadership scale; a significant relationship was found between the others and the improvement of the work area and services.
