Özet (EN)
The aim of this study is to determine how nurses' levels of physical activity and their feelings of workload and burnout differ according to some variables (the unit they work in, having children, perceived health status and shift type). Nurses actively working in the field, 147 women and 27 men, who were over 18 years old and had at least 1 year of seniority, participated in the study. As data collection tools, the Recent Physical Activity Questionnaire (RPAQ) measuring energy expenditure in physical activity at home, work, transportation and leisure time, consisting of three sections covering the last four weeks, the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) consisting of 22 items and 3 sub-dimensions, the Swedish Workload Control Support Questionnaire consisting of 17 questions and 3 subdimensions and the Demographic Information Form were used. The collected data were analyzed using IBM SPSS ver., 23.0, STATA, and JASP 0.18.3.0 statistical software programs. Independent groups t test and ANOVA were applied to the data set that met the normality assumption, and Mann Whitney U test and Kruskall Wallis test were applied to the data set that was not normally distributed. According to the study results, among nurses who perceived their health status as moderate or good, in the emotional exhaustion sub-dimension and the amount of energy spent in free time physical activity; The amount of energy spent by nurses working in wards and intensive care units in workplace physical activity; Statistically significant differences were found in the amount of energy spent by nurses who have children at home and at work. Based on these results, nurses' life routines can be considered holistically and the amount of energy they spend in different types of physical activity can be examined. Keywords: Nursing, Types of physical activity and Amount of energy expended, Burnout,Workload.
