Abstract (EN)
The research was carried out in a descriptive, cross-sectional and relationship-seeking design in order to determine the effect of nurses' perceptions of diversity management on their organizational happiness levels. The research was carried out between November 2019 and June 2021, and the data were collected from 204 volunteer nurses working in three hospitals in the city center of Ankara between December 2019 and February 2021. "Personal Information Form", "Diversity Management Scale" and "Organizational Happiness Scale" were used as data collection tools. Ethics committee permission and institutional permissions were obtained for the research. According to the findings obtained from the research; The nurses' perceptions of the management of differences were moderate (Χ=98.32±22.16), the dimension they perceived most negatively was individual attitudes and behaviors (X=13.24±3.24), and their organizational happiness level was moderate (X= 94.43±22.25). It was found that there are positive and highly significant relationships between the diversity management scale and all its sub-dimensions and the organizational happiness scale and all its sub-dimensions (p<0.001) and that nurses' perceptions of diversity management positively affect their organizational happiness levels (R=.525, R2=. 275 p<0.05), it was determined that the perception of the management of differences explained 28% of the total variance of the organizational happiness levels of the nurses. There are significant differences in perceptions of difference management according to the type of hospital they work, the unit they work in, age, education level, professional experience, position and working style (p<0.05), organizational happiness according to the type of hospital they work, age, education level and number of children. It was found that there were significant differences between the levels (p<0.05). As a result of the research, it was revealed that the nurses' perceptions of diversity management and organizational happiness levels were moderate, their perceptions of diversity management positively affected their organizational happiness, and there were differences in their perceptions of diversity management and organizational happiness according to some personal and professional characteristics.
