Abstract (EN)

Aim: This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of nurses' level of spirituality on the frequency of spiritual therapeutic care. Material and Method: This research was of descriptive type.. The universe of the researcher consists of 1050 nurses working at Dicle University Hospital. The sample was with by power analysis 560 nurses participated. The dataset was collected at Dicle University Hospital, between June-August 2020, by going to the hospital and using face-to-face interview technique. "Personal Information Form" containing information about the nurses' socio-demographic characteristics and spiritual care, "Spirituality Scale" and "Nurse Spiritual Care Therapeutics Scale" were used for data collection. Statistical analysis of the dataset was performed in the SPSS 23 (Statistical Package for Social Science). In the statistical analysis of the dataset used Number, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t test in independent groups, One-Way ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis H tests, correlation and Linear regression analysis methods. Results: It was determined that the nurses participating in the research got 21.25 ± 4.82 points from the Spirituality Scale and their spirituality levels were above the average, It was determined that they got 43.21 ± 8.73 points from the Spiritual Care Therapeutics Scale and the frequency of providing spiritual care was at an average level. It was observed that the spirituality levels of the nurses had a positive effect (R2 = .245, B = .391) on the frequency of providing spiritual curative care. No significant difference was found between the age, gender, marital status, education level, unit of work and duration of professional experience and the "Nurse Spiritual Care Therapeutics Scale" and "Scale of Spirituality". Conclusion: It has been found that the spirituality levels of the nurses are effective on the frequency of providing spiritual therapeutics care.
