Defining healthy lifestyle behaviours of nurses

Özet (EN)

This research was held as supplementary to define healthy lifestyle behaviours of nurses and factors affecting them. 748 nurses who are working at Dicle University Medicine Faculty constituted the frame of research. The frame was admitted as sample without choosing any sample and 350 nurses were reached. Questionnare form and 'Healthy lifestyle Behaviour Scale II' was used for data collection. Questionnare form consisted of two parts. At the first part there were questions about social-demographic characteristics of nurses and at the second part factors that were thought effecting healthy lifestyle behaviours of nurses. Questionnare form and 'Healthy lifestyle Behaviour Scale II' was implemented on 15 March-23 May 2018. Data collected from research was evaluated by SPSS for Windows 25 computer programme using average, minimum and maximum values, percentage numbers, t-test, Oneway Anova,Kruskal Wallis test. It was defined that differences between 'Healthy lifestyle Behaviour Scale II' point average and nurses' age, education background, contentment of their profession, stress caused by their profession, having chronical ilneses as important statistically. As a result, it was detected that the highest point was from moral development (average point was 14.32±4.97), the lowest point was from physical activity sub-dimension (average point was 23.18±5.05) and the healthy lifestyle behaviours of nurses were at medium level (average point was 114.08±21.10)
