Abstract (EN)
Talent management is the most important system in today's organizations, surpassing classical human resource management, as the demand for strategic management systems increases. Businesses have integrated talent management into all processes, promoting organizational commitment and job motivation. This research was conducted in a descriptive and cross-sectional design with the aim of examining the relationship between nurses' talent management and job motivation. The sample of the study consisted of 241 nurses who met the criteria for participating in the research at a private and foundation university hospital affiliated with the same foundation between September and December 2022. Socio-demographic information form, talent management scale, and nurse job motivation scale were used as data collection tools. Descriptive statistical methods such as mean, standard deviation, and frequency were used to analyze the data, and the normality distribution of the data was evaluated using the Shapiro-Wilk test. The Kruskall-Wallis test and Mann-Whitney U test were used for comparing quantitative data, and Spearman's correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between quantitative variables. The average total score of the talent management scale was found to be 3.28±0.95, and the average total score of the nurse job motivation scale was 63.27±10.32. There is a positive and moderate significant relationship between the talent management scale and the nurse job motivation scale (r=0.494; p<0.01). Based on the results, institutional managers should prioritize talent management practices to enhance nurses' motivation and conduct extensive quantitative and qualitative research.
