Abstract (EN)

This study was planned experimentally to measure the effect of using three dimensional printers on learning during the education of nursing students. It consisted of three groups such as one control including 35 individuals and two experimental groups each including 35 individuals who were studying in Gumushane University Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Department. Personal information form, educational information form, satisfaction form and unit follow-up forms were used for data collection. In control group, the course was studied verbally in accordance with the curriculum. One of the experimental groups was given training with a three dimensional model; and the other was trained according to whole learning model. Data were assessed by SPSS 22 program. When post test results were examined at the end of the study, a significant difference was found between the groups (p<0.01). When the origin of this significance was evaluated, knowledge levels of the cases in control group were found to be significantly lower than 3d model group and whole learning model group (p=0.001; p<0.01); and no statistically significant difference was found between 3d model and whole learning model groups (p>0.05). According to the results at 15 days after training, a statistically significant difference was found between the groups (p<0.01). In this case, knowledge levels of the cases in control group were found to be significantly lower than 3d model and whole learning model groups (p=0.001; p<0.01); however, no significant difference was detected between 3d model and whole learning model (p>0.05). The results at 30 days after training showed significant differences between both groups (p<0.01). Knowledge levels of the cases in control group were found to be significantly lower than 3d model and whole learning model groups (p=0.001; p<0.01); but, no significant difference was found between 3d model group and whole learning model group (p>0.05). Satisfaction of 3d model group from training was found to be high with a mean value of 92.24±13.57.
