The research which develop an evaluation form for the fundamentals of nursing teaching in clinical practice

This research is a descriptive study which developan evaluation form for the Fundamentals of Nursing teaching inclinical practice.This research was composed of two chapters. In firstchapter, there wasn?t any sampling and aimed to reach all theinstructors. The data had got from the Council of HigherEducation?s web page showed that there are 38 instructors inuniversities that are experts of Fundamentals of Nursing, in year2009. But only 12 members had accepted to join this study. In thesecond phase of the study, of 1711 students in 5 institutions,which the instructers agreed to work with and who had taken theFundamentals of Nursing class and agreed to join the study, 314was taken in the sampling group.For the assemblings of the data, Fundamentals ofNursing Clinical Practice Evaluation Form (HESKDF), which iscreated by the researcher through literature scanning was used.The HESKDF, made in the first chapter of the research, was sendto the instructors by e-mail and was asked them to indicate theiropinions and suggestions by ?HESKDF Expert Evaluation Form?.The form was reorganized by the opinions and suggestions of theinsturactors. In the second chapter the reorganiazed form was71presented the students by ?HESKDF? and ?HESKDF StudentEvaluation Form?.The data obtained from this research was evaluatedin computer. For this purpose, SPSS (Statical Package for SocialSciences) version 15 was used. The proposal for the statementsand opinions expressed in the form of information about thenumbers and percentages.As a result of this research the HESKDF, threechapters, 30 evaluation statements, the expert instructors found16 suitable, 2 suitable but can be changed, 14 not suitablestatements. Students found the statements in the HESKDF mostlysuitable, made comments of 3 of the statements, 1 of 10statements about personel and professional abilities, and 2 of 5 forthe nursing process to evaluate.Suggestions are in line with the results from theresearch.Key Words: The Fundamentals of Nursing, Clinical Education,Clinical Evaluation
