Abstract (EN)

Aim: The aim of this study is to examine the effect of the reflex (reflection) method applied in spiritual care education in nursing students on the perception of spiritual care and spiritual well-being in students. Material and Methods: The research is an experimental study in a randomized controlled pre-test-post-test order. The sample of the study consisted of 63 second-year students (intervention group=31, control group=32) studying in the nursing department of a state university in Manisa. The intervention group was given online spiritual care training and the face-to-face reflexive teaching method was applied. No training was given to the control group. Data were collected as a result of pretest, intervention and posttest. Personal Information Form, Spiritual Well-Being Scale, Spirituality and Spiritual Care Rating Scale and Students' Perceptions Evaluation Form on Reflex Method were used to collect data. Results: The mean age of the students participating in the study was 20.35±1.27, and when the descriptive statistics of the intervention and control groups were compared, it was determined that there was no significant difference between the two groups (p>0.05). It was found that there was a significant difference in the spiritual well-being scale total score of the intervention group and in the sub-dimensions of transcendence and harmony with nature (p<0.05), while the total score of the spiritual well-being scale increased after the training in the intervention group. In the intervention group, an increase was found in the spiritual care rating scale total score after the training, and it was found to be statistically significant (p<0.05). In addition, the spiritual care rating scale post-test was found to be statistically significant. between the groups (p<0.05). According to the evaluation form of the students' perceptions of the reflex method in the intervention group, it was determined that the students had positive thoughts about the reflex method. Conclusion: It has been concluded that the spiritual care education given by using the reflexin method in nursing students has an effect on the levels of spiritual well-being and spiritual care perception, and that the reflexive method is an effective method in spiritual care education
