SPİNK1's value in diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma

Abstract (EN)

HCC(hepatocellular carcinoma) is the most common 6th cancer seen in all around the world. Dysplastic lesions are a source of diagnostic difficulty in HCC differential. CC is 2nd most commonly seen primary liver cancer. In this study, Spink1(TATI) is used immunochemically for patients who were diagnosed with HCC(69), CC(15), LGDF(31) and HGDF(6) at Inonu University Pathology Department between 2010 and 2015. There is no significant statistical difference seen between HCC - CC and HCC - HGDN in terms of staining rate(p=0.394, p=1). It is concluded that Spink1 does not help with the differential diagnosis of HCC, CC and HGDN. It is shown that Spink1 stain makes a significant distinction(p=0.031) of HCC with LGDN(p=0.0001) and normal liver tissue(p=0.0001), and also with LGDN and HGDN.
