Determination of h2o2 formation potential on site with FE/Nİ bimetal use in heterogeneous fenton process

In this thesis study, experiments were made to determine the potential of H2O2 during the reaction and the potential for use in oxidation with the removal of metronidazole, which can cause pollution in water sources with Fe/Ni bimetali. For this purpose, characterization studies of Fe/Ni bimetalin before and after the reaction were carried out and the parameters affecting the reaction (pH, catalyst dosage, pollutant dosage, NaCl presence and ion effect) were optimized. Optimized pH 3 produced a maximum of H2O2 in a NaCl-free environment and was detected at approximately 31 mg/L. In these conditions, MNZ removal, which was tried as 1 g/L, was also determined and an expense efficiency of close to 100% was achieved in 15 minutes. In this case, it was determined that toc removal was provided close to 30%. Similarly, Fe concentration was followed and nearly all of them were found to have converted to Fe+2at the end of the reaction. In the study, it was determined that even using the Fe/Ni dosage more than 1 g/L did not significantly affect the reaction. In the study, the BET-surface area of the particles was also determined. Here, the BET surface area of fresh Fe/Ni is 2.55 m2/g, while in pH 3 this value is 9.1 m2/g. In addition, ventilation during the reaction is also provided continuously. At the end of the study, H2O2, which was produced and consumed during MNZ removal in the presence of Fe/Ni bimetallic catalyst, was adequately provided and expenses were provided close to 100%.
