In some types of the heteroptera team rostrum morphology

In this thesis, the structure of rostrum morphologies of Pentatomidae, Pyrrhocoridae, Coreidae, Gerridae families belonging to the order of Heteroptera, Graphosoma lineatum, Pyrrhocoris apterus, Coreus marginatus and Gerris lacustris species were examined by light and scanning electron microscopy. These species have developed special feeding apparatus according to the plant and animal materials they feed on. These species, which adopt the stinging-sucking mouth type, show specialization in ways that they can get their nutrients from the target structure in the best way. kind used in the thesis it was collected from different regions of Turkey including Ankara and its surroundings. It was determined that rostrum consists of four segments in G. lineatum, P. apterus, C. marginatus and G. lacustris species. It was observed that the existing segments taper from the base to the tip. It has been documented by the measurements made in SEM that the width and length of the segments that make up the rostrum differ from each other. There are many bristle-like structures known as sensilla on the rostrum. SEM images of the sensilla used as taste and odor sensors and length measurements based on these images were made. As a result of the measurements, striking results were obtained about both the segments of the rostrums and the dimensions of the sensilla. The findings obtained are thought to create predictions about the damages that the research types of the thesis carry especially on herbal materials, and contribute to the scientific world on these and similar issues.
