Investigation of the relationship between childhood traumas and symptomps of the investment model women who have a heterosexual romantic relationships

The purpose of this research is that whether there is a meaningful relationship between childhood traumas and symptomps of the investment model women who have heterosexual romantic relationships or not. The sample of the research consists of participants who are in between 18 - 62 ages and living in Turkey. There were 317 participants chosen by random sampling method. The data related with the childhood trauma of women were gathered by " Childhooh Trauma Questionnaire", data related with the symptom of women were gathered by "Brief Symptom Inventory-BSI", data related with the romantic relation were gathered by "The Investment Model Scale: Measuring Commitment Level, Satisfaction Level, Quality Of Alternatives, And Investment Size" and lastly the data related with the demographic variables were collected by "Demographical Form" designed by the researcher. According to the results of the study, in terms of employment status, there is a statistically significant difference between quality of alternatives facet and global items, and childhood trauma. In terms of marital status, there is a statistically sgnificant difference between childhood trauma, quality of alternatives facet and global items, and commitment level items. In terms of relationship duration, there is a statistically sgnificant difference between investment size facet and global items, and commitment level items. In terms of who are living together with participants, there is a statistically sgnificant difference between quality of alternatives facet and global items, and commitment level items. According to having children or not, there is a statistically sgnificant difference between statisfaction level facet and global items. In terms of having symptoms, there are among statistically sgnificant difference between childhood trauma, statisfaction level facet and global items, quality of alternatives facet and global items, and commitment level items. There is a negative correlation between sexual abuse of quality of alternatives facet and global items, and commitment level items. Emotional neglect, depression, and negative self concept are negatively correlated with statisfaction level facet and global items, and commitment level items. Anxiety, negative self report, somatization and hostility are positively correlated physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, emotional neglect, and physical neglect. While anxiety, somatization and hostility are negatively correlated with statisfaction level facet and global items; depression is positively correlatied with quality of alternatives facet and global items ,physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional neglect and physical neglect.
