Abstract (EN)

In this work, 2-(2-pyridine) benzimidazole-N-acetohydroxamic acid, 2-(2-pyridine) benzimidazole-N-butanohydroxamic acid molecules and their metal complexes have been synthesized and characterized Furthermore, the usubility of the synthesized ligands in determination of Fe (III) was investigated. The synthesis section includes the synthesis of esters, hydroxamic acids and metal complexes starting from 2- (2-pyridyl) benzimidazole. The structures of the synthesized compounds were determined using elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, NMR spectroscopy, mass spectroscopy and thermal analysis techniques. The determination of the amount of Fe(III) ion in the solution containing metal ions was performed spectrophotometrically.
