Histoty in Hifzi Topuz's, Yılmaz Karakoyunlu's and Ahmet Altan's novels (published after 1990)

This study has the title of ?History in Hıfzı Topuz?s, Yılmaz Karakoyunlu?sand Ahmet Altan?s Novels Published After 1990?The writers transfer as a subject several events, senses and their own ideas totheir work of art with different styles. One of these literary work is the novel. t iseseen that writers deal with a lot of concepts by using several literary methots. One ofthese concepts is history. The history is one of the main and most important sourcesfor novels which get the central human and his life. These works of art have namedas ?Histrorical Novels? and it has seen that these novels which were published after1990 and written by three writers who are Hıfzı Topuz, Yılmaz Karakoyunlu andAhmet Altan were investigated about point of view to tell some historical periods.In the novels which were published after 1990, several historical periods fromOtoman Empire and Turkey Republic were chosen as a concept. The writers criticizepolitcal despotizm, cultural and governmental degeneration and ?palace life?. Theyshow the difficulties which Turkish people in the Turkish Independence War, somecabinet crisis? and their results. Also the writers have added their own ideas andfeelings to the historical reality.Key words: Novel, history, historical novel.
