Abstract (EN)
Hybrid electromagnetic levitation (EML) systems are innovative technologies that combine permanent magnets with electromagnets to provide high stability, energy efficiency, and contactless motion. In this thesis, the theoretical foundations, magnetic force interactions, design principles, control methods, and experimental applications of hybrid EML systems are examined in detail. Particular emphasis is placed on system dynamics modeling, stability analysis, and the feasibility of control algorithms. Within the scope of the study, H-Bridge PWM-based DC motor driver circuits and power supply designs for brushless motor drivers were developed, and their applicability in electromagnetic levitation systems was investigated. The designs were analyzed using COMSOL Multiphysics and LTspice simulation environments, where magnetic field distribution, current-voltage characteristics, and thermal behaviors were evaluated. In addition, the effects of different control strategies on system stability were presented in a comparative manner. The thesis discusses not only theoretical studies but also real-world applications in detail. Case studies include maglev trains (such as the Chuo Shinkansen), Hyperloop prototypes, and magnetic pumps used in biomedical engineering. These examples demonstrate that hybrid EML systems have potential applications in diverse fields, particularly in transportation and healthcare technologies. In the conclusion, the advantages, current limitations, and technical challenges of hybrid EML technology are discussed, and recommendations for future research and applications are provided. This study highlights that hybrid EML systems constitute a promising alternative for sustainable, safe, and efficient contactless transportation and control solutions.
