Abstract (EN)

In this study, hybrid fiber and mineral reinforced polymer composite pipes have been produced with high mechanical and physical properties by centrifugal casting production method. Orthophtalic unsaturated polyester as resin, glass fiber and basalt fiber as reinforcement and silica sand with specific particule size as mineral have been used on production. Experimantal works are consist of four stages of production for the polymer composite pipe. At first stage, basalt fiber and glass fiber reinforced composite pipes are produced with different fiber ratio. At second stage, silica sand filler having Fuller 0,8 particul size reinforced composite pipes are produced. At third stage, silica sand filler having Fuller 0,8 particul size reinforced composite pipes are produced using lower resin quantity. At fourth stage, mechanical and physical tests are applied on hybrid fiber and mineral reinforced composite pipe produced by centrifugal casting process. Stiffness and tensile tests as mechanical test and loss on ignition test as physical test are applied. As results of applied tests, bazalt fiber improved mechanical strength of pipe on the other hands it decreased pyhsical and visual properties. Also wetting of basalt fiber is harder than wetting of glass fiber, therefore resin quantity of basalt fiber was higher than standard production. Mineral with Fuller 0,8 particul size reinforced composite pipe has protected mechanical and physical properties. Mechanical properties of pipe with lower resin and hybrid mineral are above the related standard.
