Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study presented as master's thesis, is to improve the mechanical resistance poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) denture base material that has been used since 1940's and still no alternative in dentistry and synthesis by preparing novel inorganic-organic hybrid materials with denture properties. With this purpose, improvement in thermal and mechanical properties of PMMA via halloysite nanotube (HNT) were studied. A novel polymeric hybrid material was prepared with methyl methacrylate, glycidyl methacrylate functionalized with (3-aminopropyl) trimethoxysilane. In order to ensure uniform distribution and alignment organic and inorganic phases in the PMMA-HNT nanocomposites. HNT surfaces modified chemically by 3 - (trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate (Silane A-174). To determinatine elasticity modulus and tranverse strength the nanocomposite samples consisting 1-7% modified HNT were prepared in 64 × 10 × 2.5 mm size in muffle mold. Thermal and structural analysis of composites were performed. Mechanical strength of nanocomposite that consist of 1-3% modified HNT, increased with increase in HNT that begins to fall after only 3% were observed.
