Özet (EN)

Development of catallytic multi fuel processors for hydrogen production constitute a crucial step in transition to hydrogen as a fuel. Consequently, development of effective and low-price catalysts for such fuel processors are highly important. In the present thesis work, powder and supported catalysts are developed for the purpose of hydrogen production from methane, and they are studied in terms of structure and performance. Among the 12 catalysts developed, the sample with the Ru-Ni-Co-Mo composition had 94.09 % H2 and 93.19 % CO selectevities and yielded % 96.98 CH4 conversion and 94.97 % H2 production. During test with the catalyst developed for utilisation in fuel processors, 2.32 % CO2 emission was measured in the product stream. Methane is chosen since it is the main component of natural gas, a commercial fuel with an established infrastructure.
