Abstract (EN)

Today, the increasing use of fossil fuels causes many negative impacts such as air pollution, water pollution, environmental pollution, ozone depletion, the greenhouse effect, and carbon footprint. While fossil fuels are non-renewable and limited, renewable energy sources provide green energy and are unlimited. Because fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and natural gas both cause environmental damage and are depleting, renewable energy sources have come to the fore among alternative energy sources. When the renewable energy resource potential of our country is evaluated, solar energy comes to the forefront. In this study, a trough-type parabolic collector was designed. To calculate the electrical energy that can be obtained from the designed collector, the solar radiation data of Osmaniye province in 2014 was used. To avoid problems in the storage and transmission of the electrical energy obtained from the designed system, the amount of hydrogen energy to be produced with the electrolysis device was calculated.
