Abstract (EN)
Today, as a result of developing technology and increasing competition conditions, the use of machinery has become mandatory at many points in mass production processes. With the increase in the use of machinery, the risks of machine-related accidents also increase. In addition, the machines used in mass production work extremely fast, as they are designed to produce in large quantities. Along with this speed, risk doors left open due to incomplete design or faulty programming invite work accidents. In this thesis study; observations were made in many areas from the design and manufacturing processes of hydraulic presses to their use in production lines, and work accidents in the presses and their causes were investigated. As a result of these studies, a risk analysis was created for hydraulic presses. The security measures that can be taken according to the risk analysis results are explained. The safety elements that should be used for these measures were determined and the safety gains these elements brought to the machine were mentioned. In addition, the procedures to be applied and the precautions to be taken while creating the software part of the hydraulic presses are mentioned. The studies have been applied on different types of hydraulic presses. As a result of these practices, it has been observed that the risks identified in the risk analysis have disappeared. Thus, as a result of the measures taken, a safe machine design has been obtained.
