Abstract (EN)
Almost at every stage of art history, the interest in what is fantastic turns into an approach with surreal expression. The aforementioned approach/es are mostly limited to the artists who existed in certain stages of the art of painting and sometimes they create wide range of usage possibilities. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the reasons that lie in the essence of the artist's interest in what is fantastic and imaginary with a surreal approach. Many breaking points have been determined where the surreal approach was revealed in certain periods of painting. Hieronymus Bosch was considered as a decisive stage with his paintings in which such an approach was created with fantastic images. Considering the influence of Bosch on the artists that came after him, it is a turning point and following these approaches to date constitutes the scope of the study. The fantastic images seen in Bosch's paintings are directly proportional to the ongoing cultural effects of the Middle Ages on the social ground. It has been concluded that the interest in fantasty, imagination and what is surreal, at any stage of art history, is largely related to the events that took place in the society. In the work text part of the research, with the exemplified personal studies, considering the surreal approach as a concept in the identity of the conclusion, thus it has been demonstrated that it will provide a wide range of expression opportunities in the context of the subject.
