The Effect of story mapping method on educable mentally retarded students` reading comprehension skills

The design of this study is amultiple probe design across subjects that is a model of the multiple baseline design.To identify educable mentally disordered students? performance levelsintroduced as pre and post-treatments. Then in order to use in these treatments fifteenstories are prepared by the researcher. Story mapping method is applied during tensessions for each student. At the end of this study, it is found out that story mappingmethod on reading comprehension skills of educable mentally retarded students,who attained in this investigation, is extremely effective.Keywords: Educable mentally retarded students, story mapping, readingcomprehension.
