The relationship between religion and politics in Hilmi Ziya Ülken

In this study, opinions on the issue of relationship between religion and politics, by Hilmi Ziya Ulken, one of most important thinkers of Turkey in recent periods, are systematically evaluated, in the context of his own interpretations of political concepts. First of all, Hilmi Ziya Ulken's views on the relationship between religion and politics will be examined with both the human element on which politics found a basis, and the moral - value issues that make it a part of social life. The second part of the study examines the meanings of the political concepts which Hilmi Ziya Ulken imposes and what basis these concepts and terms stand on in terms of religion and politics relationship. In the third and last part, Ulken's solution proposals related to the execution of politics will be stated and by this, his contributions to today's problems with his understanding of "State of Order" approach will be discussed.
