Abstract (EN)

0.3-2% of pregnant women have hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) which is a much more severe clinical picture. Pregnancy acceptance of women with HG becomes difficult and affects the quality of life negatively. This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between the acceptance of pregnancy and the quality of life in pregnant women with and without HG diagnosis. The study was conducted between July 2018 and February 2019 at Lokman Hekim, Ankara Hospital, Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic and Obstetrics and Gynecology Department. Data collection tools; Descriptive questionnaire, Nausea Vomiting Assessment Tool in Pregnancy, Adolescence Subclass Acceptance, WHOQOL - BREF - TR Short Form. IBM SPSS Statistics 22 program was used to evaluate the findings. It was determined that the groups were similar in terms of socio-demographic and obstetric characteristics. Nausea and vomiting scores of women with HG ranged from 3 to 15 in pregnancy and the mean was 11,10 ± 2,12. The mean gestational age of pregnant women with HG was 4.77 ± 0.79. Pregnancy acceptance scores of pregnant women without HG ranged from 14 to 54, with a mean of 35.67 ± 6.89 years. If the HG is accepted, the acceptance of pregnancy varies between 27 and 56, with an average of 50,16 ± 6,30. The physical field scores of the pregnant women with HG ranged from 8 to 13,71, with an average of 10,42 ± 1,20; psychological field scores ranged from 8 to 14.67, with an average of 11.19 ± 1.37; social relations scores ranged from 4 to 17.33, with an average of 11.28 ± 1.88; The environmental-TR scores ranged from 8.44 to 15.11, and the mean score was 11.90 ± 1.24. The physical field scores of the pregnant women without HG ranged from 9,14 to 16, with an average of 12,04 ± 1,05; psychological field scores ranged from 9,33 to 16,67, with an average of 13,66 ± 1,32; the scores of social relations ranged from 6.67 to 17.33, with an average of 13.83 ± 1.76; The environmental TR scores ranged between 9,33 and 15,56, and the mean was 13.45 ± 1.14. In this study, the gestational admission of HG was found to be lower than that of HG. It was found that the quality of life of pregnant women with HG was lower than those without HG. What can be obtained from this study is that HG during pregnancy may cause pregnancy admission and decrease in quality of life.
