The effect of hypnobreastfeeding and oxytocin massage on breastfeeding motivation, insufficient perception of milk, attachment and uterine involution process in primiparous

Aim:This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of hypno-breastfeeding and oxytocin massage on breastfeeding motivation,inadequate milk perception,attachment and uterine involution process in primiparas. Material and Method: This study, which was conducted to as an experimental study with a post-test control group, was carried out with pregnant women and puerperant women who applied to the NST unit of MTRH-Women's, Maternity and Children's Hospital between September 2020-March 2021.The sample of the study consisted of 270 women (90 pregnant Hypno-breastfeeding Group, 90 postpartum Oxytocin Massage Group, 90 puerperal Control Group).For pregnant women in the Hypno-breastfeeding group, including between 37th-38th and 39th-40th gestational weeks and before the first breastfeeding and 16th-20th postpartum, four attempts and for the puerperant women in the Oxytocin Massage group,postpartum between before the first breastfeeding and 16th-20th, two attempts were made.No intervention was made on puerperant women in the control group.The data were obtained through the "Personal Description Form","PBMS","IMPS","MBAS" and "UIPEF" was obtained with. Results:It was determined that the hypno-breastfeeding and oxytocin massage groups had a higher mean breastfeeding motivation score than the control group (p=0.000). It was determined that the control group had more inadequate milk perception and lower mother-infant attachment level compared to the hypnobreastfeeding and oxytocin massage groups (p=0.000). -The baby attachment level is higher, the uterus involution process is faster (p=0.000). Conclusion:It was concluded that hypno-breastfeeding and oxytocin massage are separate techniques that increase breastfeeding motivation and mother-infant attachment level, and speed up the involution process by reducing the perception of insufficient milk.
