Abstract (EN)
Hypothyroidism is a common disease in pregnancy. The incidence of thyroid disorder in pregnancy is around 2-3%. Physiological changes during pregnancy affect the functioning of the thyroid gland. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the level changes of some biochemical parameters such as calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), vitamin D and parathormone (PTH) in pregnant women with hypothyroidism. For this purpose; blood samples were collected from 70 pregnant women with hypothyroidism and 30 patients without hypothyroidism who applied to Kastamonu İsfendiyar Anadolu Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic and in these samples, Ca, Mg, Vitamin D and PTH levels as well as hemoglobin (HGB) and age parameters were analysed by statistical analysis. As a result of the analysis, it can be said that there is not a high correlation between Ca, Mg, Vitamin D and PTH levels in pregnant women with and without hypothyroidism. However, statistical analysis showed that the difference in calcium levels between the two groups was significant. Statistical analysis revealed a weak negative correlation between calcium level and hypothyroid status. On the other hand, there is a weak positive correlation between vitamin D level and age, between TSH level and magnesium level, and between vitamin D level and magnesium level. There was also a strong positive correlation between TSH level and the presence of hypothyroidism and a moderate positive correlation between TSH level and vitamin D level.
