Folkloric elements in the poems of Hisar journal poets

In this research, the poems in the journal of Hisar were examined in terms of folklore elements. The basic problem is that the extents to which poets make use of tra-dition and how they use the folkloric elements in their works. This work is an example of contemporary literature created under the influence of tradition.This study consists of two chapters and the introduction part. The intent, scope, methodology and method of the study are provided in the introduction part. In this part, the formation of the Hisar journal, the gathering of the community, publishing life, art and language were covered. There is introductory information about the lives and artis-tic understanding of the poets studied. What is important here is the relationship be-tween the artistic understanding of the poets and the tradition.The first chapter and the second chapter are aimed at identifying the folkloric el-ements. In the first chapter, folk culture elements were identified It was determined and evaluated how the Hisar poets benefited from these elements in their poems.In the second chapter, it is aimed to identify folk literature elements. Firstly, in-troductory information on species was given. Then, the usage of these species of Hisar poets in their works was determined and evaluated. These species were given under four titles: verse, prose, prose-verse and free species.The conclusion part includes the evaluations on the findings obtained.
