Abstract (EN)

After the acceptance of Islam, mawlids play an essential role in Turkish literature. The prophet Muhammad's birth has great importance in the Islamic world, so mawlids were created every period. The mawlid of the artist named Hocaoğlu at the beginning of the XV century, which can be called the development period of classical Turkish poetry, is one of these works. The full copy of this text, which has more than one copy, is currently registered at the National Library 06 Yz A 2580. Text evaluation studies were carried out based on the previously known concise copies of the work, but no text determination and literary analysis were made on this copy completely. This study aims to determine the text of Hocaoğlu's work in terms of literature. In this current study, the mawlid was defined, and its place and importance in Turkish literature were emphasized. Especially the features of the 15th-century literature in which the aforementioned work was written, and the mawlid texts were emphasized. Later, Hocaoğlu's art and literary personality were examined. The text was examined in terms of form and content, and then the transcription of the text was started.
