Abstract (EN)

Innovations in information and communication technologies have rapidly developed and progressed in parallel with the needs of humankind. Thus, traditional methods in teaching have been abandoned and replaced with modern methods. Hologram technology, which has entered our lives as a result of technological developments, is a new notion in the field of accounting. Although it is new, hologram technology has begun to be used often in daily life. In addition to its use in many fields such as entertainment, health, engineering, construction, architecture, and trade, its place and frequency in daily life are increasing as well. Accounting education is able to adapt to the developments of its age and evolve accordingly. Thus, it is able to accommodate the needs of the digital generation, who is the product of the digital age. Use of modern technologies, such as the use of hologram technology in accounting education, enables easier and more permanent learning of accounting knowledge. Thanks to hologram technology, expert academicians, researchers, and students from different parts of the world can come together and exchange information, and in this way, more effective learning is achieved. The subject of this study was the applicability of hologram technology in accounting education, and the study aimed to determine the views and expectations of students studying accounting regarding the applicability of hologram technology in accounting education and how much they are interested in it. 316 students studying accounting at Burdur Mehmet Akif University and Isparta University of Applied Sciences were surveyed through questionnaire method within the scope of the study. Descriptive statistics, percentage and frequency calculations, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, independent groups (independent-t test), and one-way ANOVA were conducted using SPSS 20 in the analysis of the data. As a result of the study, 7 hypotheses were verified, and 2 hypotheses were refuted. Keywords: Accounting education, hologram technology, Burdur, Isparta
