Examination of surat al-Hûd in view of rhetoric

It is great importance to understand of language which was descended to understanding of the Holy Qur'an. In this context, it is very important to be aware of the literary aspect of language. In order to understand the Qur'an, the studies carried out from the time it came down to the present have shown that it is a rhetoric of the most powerful aspects of the laconical of the Qur'an. Therefore, scholars have been the subject of the rhetoric of the Qur'an since the first day. In recent years, researches have been started to deal with the suras as an independent. In our study, the eloquence features of Surat al-Hud and their reflections on the meanings were emphasized. Our research consists of two parts. In the introduction, the historical development of rhetoric, which is the basis of our subject, and the literary arts in Surat al-Hûd are explained briefly in terms. In the first chapter, the general characteristics of Surat al-Hud, which is the subject of our study, have been given and a general framework has been drawn about it and information has been given about the naming of surah.
