Logical evaluation of some laws of Mecelle within the scope of the relationship between law and logic

The aim of this study, titled Logical Evaluation of Some Laws of Mecelle within the Scope of the Relationship between Law and Logic, is to make inferences by showing the place and importance of logic in law with examples. In the method followed to achieve this aim, Mecelle-i Ahkam-ı Adliyye, which is a law book, was first examined in terms of its structure and features. Secondly, the terminological definition, history, methods and principles of the field of logic to be reconciled are discussed in detail. Finally, items containing logical explanations from Mecelle were identified and explained according to the principles and rules of logic.
