Abstract (EN)
One of the most important parts of the consumer culture is scrap cars. With advancing technology, ever-evolving and changing car technology leaves behind piles of scrap. Scrap cars pushed aside into oblivion are rich in material and form. The cars, which are rich in surface and appearance, made in different models, cost different areas and became an inspiration. The aim of this study is to analyze scrap cars from pictorial point of view and convert them into pictorial expression by means of visualization. During the research process; data were obtained from journals, articles, thesis, books and collections. Within the scope of the thesis, Western and Turkish artists using the image of cars in their paintings were investigated. According to the data obtained in the research, it is seen that the artists compose the image of the car as an element in the landscape or in the center of the work. This thesis consists of three chapters. In the second part, 20th century art is mentioned and consumption culture, waste objects and art movements are mentioned. In the third part of the research, the development process, applications and analysis of the applications made within the scope of the thesis are given. In this study, the transformation of the scrap car into images, visuality and meaning-content relationship are emphasized. While creating the works, explanations were made about composition composition, technique, texture, chosen harmony and color usage. The ease of use of paint and brush movements overlaps with an expressionist attitude. After the studies were divided into groups, first general explanations and then analysis of individual studies were formed. This study prepared as a result of the researches; It can be said that the aesthetic process of the applications created as a result of the interaction between art and the interaction between art and the cars that we see as abandoned in the streets in the environment we live in the first place and which are kept until the destruction of the junk yard, cannot be said.
