National romantic perception style in the novels of Hüseyin Nihal Atsız

In this study, the novels of Huseyin Nihal Atsız who had written a variety of works such as articles, stories and poems for Turkish Literature is evaluated. In the first part the information about the historical conditions of "nationalism" ideology, the trends preparing the national literature and formations are given and national romantic perception style is explained. In the second part, the reasons forming the national romantic perception style and the appearance of national romantic style in Huseyin Nihal Atsız novels are investigated under a variety of titles. Throughout this evaluation historical, philosophical and psychological sources are benefited for grounding the findings and comments. Huseyin Nihal Atsız wrote six novels between the years 1941-1972. Among these novels Death of Bozkurts (Bozkurtların Ölümü), Invigoration of Bozkurts (Bozkurtların Dirilişi) and Lunatic Wolf (Deli Kurt) are the ones which took their subjects from Turkish history. Nihal Atsız who remolded these novels with national conscience revived Turkish history with the fiction that he formed. In The Night of Sycophants (Dalkavuklar Gecesi) and Vitamin Z (Z Vitamini) satire, in the Soul Man (Ruh Adam) psychological conflicts and resolutions come to the fore together with historical and national conscience being felt. Nihal Atsız who had to struggle throughout his life because of his ideas reflected this struggle into his novels and served to "national upbringing" by instilling national and historical conscience to the new generations. Moving from the research and investigations done, after the deductions about national romantic style of Huseyin Nihal Atsız in the conclusion part, the reference part which is composed of the sources related to the author and the subject take place.
