Abstract (EN)

This research has been done to fix different dimensions of people?s religious life, livein old people?s home. The research?s illustrating is people in Adana old people?shome, 86trieds who are 65 and upper have joined to this research. Interwiew system is used to gatherdatum.In this work, first theoretical part has been formed. In this first part of theoreticalsection; subjects such as old age, general features of old people, location of old people?shomes in Turkey, in the second part; religious life of old age term, dimensions ofreligiousness, prayer, old age and death…etc have been scrutinise. In the practice part clueswhich has been obtained from interview have clasigied according to demographic features ofold people and percentage method has been used for statistical results. The results has beenmade tableam in order to see and understand the results.In this research shortly those results have been obtained:People in old people?s home almost have made their worship and all of them haveprayed. They feel themselves religious for made their worship and they think people can makeworship better when they become older. They beleived that religious is important andnecessary thing in human?s life. Many of old people beleive that there are the destiny-chance,the next word, returning to life, being crossed examine…etc. But they have not enoughknowledge about these subjects and they are contented with information from their parentsand environment. Only a few of them have death-fear (%15) and don?t accept death, many ofthem indicate that they don?t fear from people in old people?s home beleive in God, faithfullyand this faithfulllness makes their life easy and help them during their life.Key Words: Old age, old people?s home, religious life
