Investigation of the death anxiety levels of individuals living in a nursing time on various variables (Malatya Huzurevi sample)

This research has been done to fix different dimensions of people's religious life and death anxiety living in old people's home. This research has been done in Malatya old people's home. 40 old people who are 65 and upper joined to this research. During the research, interview, questionnaire and observation techniques are used to gather information. Firstly, to materialize this purpose the questionnaire about public survey was prepared, then was carried out people (over 65) living in old people's home. It consists of twenty questions. The data which was taken from sample about the subject has been turned into spreadsheet depending on these variables and meaningful spreadsheets were explained. As a result, there is a meaningful relationship between the factors such as sex, age, education level, years lived in old people's home and death anxiety. The data from the field research shows that the majority of old people accept the life style of old people's home because they have no other option. The educational levels of old people in old people's home are generally low, and the majority of old people are illiterate. In the old people's home, some of the old people have no social security and the number of old people living in economic poverty as well as in psycho-cultural deprivation is high. The fact of death, with which the old people spend the last stage of their lives to face in old people's home is being witnessed frequently and causes adverse effects on them in a psychological senses.
