Prof. Dr. Gülümser SERTBAŞMay-2005, 86 pagesABSTRACTThe research was done as descriptive one in order to determine the sleep qualitylevels of old people who live at rest houses. The sample was compriosed from the 70old people who live at Gaziantep Resthouse between 1-15 October 2004. In order tocollect data, a form that includes socio-demographic variables and information aboutthe older people was used. It was desipred by the researcher. Pittsburg Sleep QualityScale was used in order to determine the sleep quality levels. Independent Samples t-test, one way Anova and percentage calculation methods were used in evaluation ofthe data gained.According to the results; there wasn?t any relation between the sleep quality andsocio-demographic variables (p>0,05).Key Words: Resthouse, elderness, sleep quality.
