Resocialization in the nursing home

The subject of this study is; the new lives of the elderly individuals settled in the nursing home and the new order they have established depending on these new lives, the new friendship relationships they have established in the nursing home and whether these friendship relationships contribute to their socialisation process, the activities organised by the nursing home and the emotions they feel through these activities and whether these activities contribute to their socialisation process. Questions appropriate to this subject were created and directed to the elderly individuals. In line with the answers given, a scientific study has been put forward. Common areas have been created for elderly people living in nursing homes to mingle with each other. At the same time, through the activities organised by the nursing homes, it was aimed for elderly individuals to have a good time and re-establish friendships. While these activities helped the elderly individuals to feel valuable and happy, they also contributed to the strengthening of friendship relations. The majority of the elderly individuals in the nursing home participate in the activities organised by the nursing home. Elderly individuals who participate are satisfied with these activities. Elderly individuals who cannot participate are generally elderly individuals with physical disabilities, physiological disorders and who have no friends. Some elderly individuals who could not participate due to necessity stated that they would also be happy if they had the opportunity to participate.
