Sleep quality of sleep hygiene education given to pregnant women with restless leg syndrome

Abstract (EN)
Aim: This research was conducted to determine sleep quality of sleep hygiene training given to pregnant women with restless leg syndrome. Material and Method: This study was conducted using a semi-trial model with pre-test and post-test control groups. The population of the study was registered to the Family Health Centers (ASM) (Talas Homeland ASM, Talas 1 ASM, Talas 3 ASM) with a population of 20,000 and over, affiliated to Kayseri Central Talas district. When the power analys made, sample size hasgot %5 duble direction importance , %95 contidence range, % 95 ability to deliver the universe, the total 128 pregnant was calculated. The sleeping hygiene training was given to two sessions of the experiment group. Personal identifaciton form and Pittsburg sleep quality was used to collection of data. Coding of data and evaluatig realize in computer with using SPSS 22.0 programme. Percentage distribuation, arithmetic mean, standart deviation, ki- spuare was used to statistical evaluation, deperents group and indeperent groups was used t test. Results: PUKI pre-test averages revealed that sleep quality in both groups was similarly poor (p= 0.353). It was determined that the mean post-test post-test score after sleep hygiene training was 7.23 ± 2.17 in the experimental group and 10.54 ± 2.20 in the control group and that the difference between the groups was statistically significant (p= 0.000). Accordingly, it was determined that the sleepers in the experimental group had better sleep quality than the control group. Conclusion: Sleep hygiene training given to pregnants with restless leg syndrome increased sleep quality.
