Coating of NiCr-WC-Co based mixed powders on AISI 304l steel surfaces by HVOF method

Abstract (EN)
The article focuses on developing the specifications of the surfaces of AISI 304L stainless steel. In order to achieve this, the surface of AISI 304L steel was plated by using the HVOF method with a mixture of Oerlikon Metco Diamalloy 2002 (WC, Co, NiCrFeBSiC) and Diamalloy 4700 (CoNiCrAlY) powders in 3 different proportions, and the effect of the mixture amounts on wear properties in different wear environments was analyzed. The first of these mixtures was 100% Diamalloy 4700, the second was 50% Diamalloy 4700 50% Diamalloy 2002 and the third was 75% Diamalloy 4700 25% Diamalloy 2002. After coating, SEM and EDS analysis were viewed, the hardness values were measured, and then the samples obtained were subjected to wear tests at different loads and speeds. After the wear tests, the wear rates and the friction coefficients were examined. The SEM images of the wear zone and the results that were obtained from EDS analysis were evaluated.
